ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY
An intimate documentary about faith, renewal, and healing, Two Gods follows a Muslim casket maker and ritual body washer in New Jersey, as he takes two young teenagers under his wing to teach them how to live better lives.
Shot in a striking black-and-white, Two Gods explores the juxtaposition of grief and the rituals of death with the vibrancy and potential of adolescence. The documentary turns an empathetic lens on Muslim American stories, ultimately crafting a moving portrait of both the intimate moments and the complexities of the everyday Muslim American experience.
Diffused Congruence is a monthly podcast that seeks to celebrate the many facets of the American Muslim experience. The goal of the show is to highlight and focus on unique and interesting personalities from within the American Muslim community, and engage them in what will hopefully be a worthwhile and invigorating conversation not only for the guests, but also for listeners. The podcast is designed with the spirit of the long form interview style to be part oral history/personal narrative and part a discussion of critical issues, with listeners feeling as though they are sitting in on a casual (and non-scripted) conversation. Past guests have included leading thought leaders, scholars, academics, artists, actors, policymakers, athletes, and activists. The show is in its 8th year of broadcasting.
