The second Abbasid Caliph, Abu Ja'far Al-Mansur, ruled from 754 to 775 CE. He is known for establishing the Abbasid dynasty in Baghdad and for centralising the administrative and military functions of the empire. He also played a key role in spreading Islam and expanding the caliphate's territories, particularly in North Africa and the Iberian Peninsula.
