The man who stole the deed from the poor man regrets it and decides to return what is rightfully his. Shurayh reconciles with his son and teaches him important life lessons. Shurayh’s wife dies and he grieves deeply for her. Plague enters the city and many people die. Shurayh’s grandson asks him how he has remained strong when he is more than a hundred years old. He tells him that he was a just judge who was not afraid of anyone’s blame.
