Yusuf ibn Basil refuses to appear at court to face justice. Qadi Suleiman orders him to be brought against his will. The Qadi confronts the two parties in the presence of the Caliph. Al-Qumus discovers that Yusuf bin Basil is robbing people through deception, obtaining deeds unlawfully, and the prince sends someone to kill him.
