A poor man complains about a rich man who wanted to buy land from him, taking the case to Qadi Shurayh. The poor man tells the Qadi that the rich man has stolen the land deed from him. The Qadi makes his judgement with the proof and witnesses brought before him. After more evidence comes to light Qadi Shurayh imprisons his son and asks the guards to treat him like the other prisoners.
