A 30 part dramatised series of the lives of ten Qadis (judges) who lived at the time of the Abbasids and who were influential figures in Islamic history, raising important issues as Muslim models to be emulated, in addition to discussing contemporary issues that have recently emerged in Arab societies and have become threatening to stability such as the subject of takfir.

Shurayh bin al-Harith’s father dies, his uncle treats him badly, marries his mother and throws him out of the city. Shurayh grows up and works in the dairy business.

Shurayh bin al-Harith converts to Islam after a man comes and talks with him. Shurayh learns about his neighbour beating his son, The boy escapes and goes to Shurayh. The boy admires Islam and Shurayh convinces him to become Muslim. The man finds that his son has changed, so he goes to Shurayh.

Shurayh bin al-Harith goes to Medina and assumes the position of judge. Then a man comes and asks Shurayh to judge between him and Umar ibn al-Khattab. Shurayh rules in his favour, after which al-Faruq appoints him as a judge in Kufa.
